Chapter twelve

While I read the chapter I thought that it is cool that her dad let her play soccer on the day of her sister's wedding. It is the first time they talk again and her dad has a really big heart. I think it is also good that Jules and Jess are friends again when they play together on the pitch. It is also very nice of Tony to make her play soccer that day. I think it is a really big chance for Jules and Jess that they "won" a scholarship for a school in America and that they have the chance to make there dream real but I do not think that her parents would let her go. Jules mother is really stupid, she talks before she is thinking !

Chapter eleven

I think it is more bad when your parents aren't talking to you than when they are shouting at you. I think it is nice that Pinky is marrying now and that Teetu's parents are so stupid. It is quitebad that the wedding is on the same day as the final match and I feel sorry for Jess. Furthermore, I can feel with Jess she is sitting between two seats and doesn't know what to do. It is a tricky situation for her. In the first moment, when I read that Jules wanted to talk to Jess, I thought they talk after all again but I think it was some kind of mean to hurt Jules again. The party before the wedding is a typical family party and I think we all know how it is. I don't understand why she is not really happy about her good marks. She has to be a lawyer but it the good marks don't keep her away from soccer. I think the end of the chapter is very sad and I don't know what I would have done in a situation like this.

Chapter ten

It is really shocking that she asked Tony if he fancies her. I think it comes really surising for Tony and it is not really polite to ask him that. It is some kind of weird for Jess that Tony is gay but she doen't have a problem with it and stays pretty calm. I did not belive that she is going to lie to her parents again but she did and went to the match against a different girls team. She was not very happy at this moment and I can understand why she became so rude at the pitch. But I also think that it was right by Joe that he was so strict to Jess. At the end I got a little schock when I read that her dad was there after the match.

Chapter nine

I was some kind of buff that her parents didn't say anything about her little trip to Germany. I can not understand why she is not allowed to do what she want and I can not understand why they all want her to marry and that she has to marry an Indian guy but it is their culture. I think it is very sad that she has to stop playing soccer and that she and Jules are not talking to each other and that their friendship broke.

Chapter eight

It is cool that they made a makeover with Jess and that she tried out things she never did before. The situation at the disco is not the best, I think it is some kind of mean from Jess that she wants to kiss Joe even she knows that Jules fancied him but it is also not good that Jules is not taking to her anymore even I can understand it. Furthermore it is the chapter where everything went wrong and I was really shocked when I read that her parents and Pinky are waiting for Jess.

chapter seven

I think Joe has a lot of courage that he came and talked to her parents. It did not change anything but he tried. It is very good that Pinky and Jess are talking again and that she helps Jess to go to Germany with the rest of the team without telling anything to her parents. I think it is good that she comes with the rest of the team to Germany so she is part of the team again. They always show that in other countries there are more women soccer clubs and that you can play there. It always looks like the author wants a professionally womens league in England, too. Jess likes her coach very much but it is more secret than the fact that she is playing soccer. It is a great experience that they play in a big ground with many people looking how they play. They lost but they made a great experience i think.

Chapter six

I think it is very nice from Jules to give Jess the shoes of her mother so that she doesn't have to give back the soccer boots. Her mum is very funny and is always trying to change Jules. I am so happy that my mum is not like that. It is very stupid that her sister's parents-in-law search everywhere for a reason not to make a wedding. The fact that they saw Jess kissing a boy was enough for them and it doesn't matter to them that it was a girl and that they were not kissing. They don't want Pinky as a daughter-in-law even they told them the truth. The parents of Teetu are such idiots. It is mean of Pinky to tell her parents about her football training but I can understand her a little bit because she has the opinion that Jess burst her wedding. It is also mean that her parents don't understand Jess and that she is not allowed to go out of the house anymore. I think they should let her do what she likes to do and I am so happy that my parents don't say anything to my hobbies. I was really suprised that Joe was standing in the front door.

Chapter five

I was really relieved that Pinky isn't telling anything to her parents. You can really see how different the two girls are and I have to say that I likeJess more than Pinky. I think Jess is really clever how she can get her soccer-boots but it was not very clever to bring them home. The fact that Jules is helping her is really nice and it's cool that they are becoming friends. More and more it seems like she's becoming more like a girl. She likes her coach and she never thought about boys before. I think it is not good that she is running the last lap even it is hurting it is stupid to do this because she wants to show Joe that she is strong because having an injury that makes her not play soccer is more bad. And her parents would ask what she did, too.

Chapter four

It is very good that Jess is managing how she could train with the team . Now she has real fun at playing soccer. When she has her first match she is very nervous and I can imagine how it was before we had our first volleyball match I was so excited and I had some kind of fear. I can feel with Jess when she has fun out on the pitch and the feeling after a won match. Also, it is unbelievable that she isn't caring about liing to her parents anymore and that she becomes more like the other girls. But she still is defencing her culture. When I read the last page I was really excited and I could feel with Jess when she had the fear that her sister tells something to her parents. I was really suprised that her parents didn't notice anything before the "accident" with Pinky.

Chapter three

While i read chapter three I thougt that it is very mean of their parents not let her play soccer. There you can really see how her family thinks and what their opinion is. Her mother and her father are real conservative indians but her father is not as strict as her mother. The family lives her Indian life in an England where the young people do different things, things Jasminder isn't allowed to do. I think that it is better that she wants to play soccer than being like the three other girls. I liked the way how Taz and Jules reacted when they heard that Jess isn't allowed to play soccer. They are real friends and she should be lucky to have friends like them

Chapter two

I think it is really good that she met Jules and she gets the chance to play "real" soccer. I liked it how Jess played with the boys and that she says the truth about the three girls at the side. I really can't imagine how Jules and Joe are looking because she isn't telling about or she isn't really caring about. Jess is telling the whole story and so you can see what things matters to her. In the part after the trial I could notice that she is the first time it matters to her that a guy is good looking.

Chapter one

After I read Chapter One I think she has a very good imagination and she is really interested in soccer and Beckham. I would say she loves Beckham. Its very weird that she is talking to her Beckham poster. She is not like a real girl. She doesn't like the things the most girls like. I like the way Jess is thinking and that she wants to see something before she is going to marry somebody.
